The Silver Philharmonic is Austria's one-ounce silver coin and the silver counterpart to the gold Philharmonic, struck by the Austrian Mint since 2008.
It holds one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, is 37 mm across, and carries a €1.50 face value. Like the gold coin, both sides show music: the great organ of Vienna's Musikverein on the obverse, orchestral instruments on the reverse.
It is the best-selling silver bullion coin in Europe and trades easily in the United States too. Premiums generally sit below the American Silver Eagle.
