One troy ounce of .9995 fine platinum in a minted bar, sealed in an assay card, from a refiner accredited by the LBMA or the London Platinum and Palladium Market.
Bars are the cheapest way into platinum: no sovereign mint, no face value, so the premium over spot is lower than for coins. Each bar carries its weight, purity and a serial number.
The refiner is our choice, which is what keeps the premium down; PAMP, Valcambi and Argor-Heraeus all appear.
Keep the assay card sealed, especially with platinum. Dealers see it less often than gold, so intact packaging makes resale much simpler.

Why is the card price higher?
Card networks charge us a fee on every card payment. Our list price is the card price; paying by bank transfer (ACH) or wire saves you 4%.
